WORKSHOP: HOW TO PRODUCE YOUR EDINBURGH SHOW

Taking a comedy show to the Edinburgh Fringe can be a daunting prospect. Making a good show is not enough: everything from flyers to press releases and publicity to venue choice and time slot and more will make the difference between a successful show and an ignored one. If you know how to spend the 23 hours of the day you aren’t on stage – as well as the weeks leading up to it – it’ll have a huge benefit on the outcome of your show.
Learn how to stand out at the world’s biggest arts festival, both creatively and practically – even if you are a brand new act – in this workshop led by James Hamilton. James is the creator of multi award winning comedy group Casual Violence, and has successfully produced thirteen Edinburgh shows over the last six years: everything from sketch groups and plays to one man shows and comedy rap, on both the paid and free fringes; many of which have successfully transferred to venues including the Soho Theatre and the Lowry.
